PURPOSE

The thread is cleaned of dirt, metal shavings, and traces of rust. The surface is degreased. The use of SANFIX universal cleaner is recommended. After drying, the tape is laid in the direction of the thread pitch. The tension of the tape during winding should ensure a tight fit of the material to the surface.
Upon completion of winding, the end of the PTFE teflon tape is tightly smoothed to the surface.
